The restorative approach contrasts with suppressive therapies (e.g., hormonal contraception used to mask cycle symptoms) and bypass therapies (e.g., IVF circumventing tubal disease). It also encompasses removal of problematic devices and reversal of prior procedures such as tubal ligation to restore health or fertility potential.¹
