RRM Research Library Lookup

You're reading a research paper. If the RRM Research Library has that paper, a small RRM badge lights up on the extension's icon. One click shows the library's synopsis, its relevance grade, a citation you can copy and up to three related papers.

How it works

  1. Open a paper on a supported site. The extension reads the paper's DOI or PMID from the page's citation tags.
  2. If the paper is in the library, the RRM badge appears on the toolbar icon.
  3. Click the icon. A card shows the library's headline for the paper, its relevance grade, the synopsis and related papers.
  4. Choose Read on RRM Academy to open the full record, or Copy citation for the APA citation.

Reading down a results list? Open the side panel. It follows the paper in your current tab and adds the record's key findings.

Not every paper in the library has a written synopsis yet. For those, the card still shows the record, its grade and related papers, with the line "Synopsis not yet written." If a paper isn't in the library, the card says so and offers a Suggest it link.

Where it works

The badge works on its own on PubMed and PubMed Central, and on Europe PMC. It works on pages from major journal publishers: ScienceDirect, Springer, Nature, Wiley Online Library, Oxford Academic, Taylor & Francis, SAGE, Cambridge, JAMA Network, NEJM, The BMJ, Frontiers, MDPI, PLOS and Fertility and Sterility. It also works on the DOI resolver, doi.org.

On any other site, select a paper's title or DOI, right-click and choose Look up in RRM Library. You can also click the icon to check the page you're on.

PubMed, NLM and these publishers don't make or endorse it.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't ask you to sign in or create an account.
  • It doesn't track you. No analytics, no cookies, no identifiers.
  • It never changes the page you're reading. The card stays in the extension's own popup and side panel.
  • It loads nothing from outside the extension. Its one network call is the lookup to rrmacademy.org.

Install

It's free. The Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons listings are the only places to install it.
