Assisted Reproduction · Registries and Reporting
Abstract
The Jahrbuch 2014 of the Deutsches IVF-Register e.V. (D.I.R), a modified reprint from the Journal für Reproduktionsmedizin und Endokrinologie published in 2015, presents the registry's data on assisted reproduction in Germany for 2014. The foreword states that three centers could not be included in the analysis for technical reasons and that 87,886 cycles from the analyzed centers were included in the statistical analysis. A summary section reports that 52,988 women were treated in 2014, with 1.66 cycles per woman. Alongside tables of IVF, ICSI, TESE and cryotransfer results, the edition contains an editorial on blastocyst culture under the German Embryonenschutzgesetz and special analyses of pregnancy-outcome documentation and of the effects of financial support on ART treatment.
