AI Essentials for the Busy Clinician

Most clinicians who come to this course have already tried an AI chatbot and come away wary. Ask it a fertility question and it answers with the internet's majority view rather than a restorative one. It writes fluently about references that do not exist. And nobody has explained where patient information goes once you press enter. Those are three sound reasons to keep your distance, and the course opens by taking all three seriously rather than talking you out of them.

From there it gets hands-on. You send your first useful prompt about ten minutes in. You learn a thirty-second habit for checking anything the AI states as fact, one bright-line rule for keeping patient information out of everyday AI tools, and how to hand the tool your framing and your evidence so it works inside them instead of the internet's. One module maps the back office, where patient data never comes up and the hours are easiest to find: procedures, hiring, handbooks, training material, the work that keeps you and your clinic manager at the desk after close. A fifteen-minute audit turns that tour into a list for your own practice.
