About This Course

Tracy Donegan spent fourteen years as a midwife and founded the GentleBirth app before training as a certified light therapist. This twelve-lesson course, recorded live for the Save the Uterus Club, opens the way she approached the research herself: skeptical first. She draws a clear line between serious light therapy protocols and the gadget marketing that surrounds them, starting with why a single session does nothing and why a properly structured course of treatment looks more like a care plan than a wellness trend.

The lessons cover the underlying biology (how absorbed light affects circulation, inflammation, and cellular energy production), the established medical use in oral mucositis care, and a tour of applications across women's health: post-cesarean healing, mastitis, menopausal intimate health, and support for the broader ovarian environment rather than a narrow focus on egg quality alone. She also covers applications in men's health, including testicular pain and prostatitis. Donegan is direct about where the evidence holds up and where fertility-specific marketing claims outrun it, including a look at one of the larger controlled trials in this space, which found no significant benefit over sham treatment.

Later lessons take on the practical questions members actually ask: the real difference between lasers and LED panels, how to spot predatory device marketing, cycle timing, and what light therapy alongside surgery or pregnancy realistically involves. The course closes with a live Q&A on timing, pregnancy, and where the ongoing research is headed.
