Pelvioplasty

Pelvioplasty is the rebuilding stage of pelvic surgery, done after the surgeon removes disease and scar tissue. It puts the ovaries and tubes back where they belong. It closes the peritoneum, the thin lining of the abdomen.

Removal is only half of the operation. Excision surgery and adhesiolysis leave raw surfaces. Raw surfaces form fresh scar tissue. The repair work that follows is paired with adhesion prevention. The goal is a pelvis that heals open and mobile.

Time and skill set the limit here. Rebuilding takes longer than removal. How well a surgeon does this second half shapes whether function returns.
