Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the effects of ejaculatory abstinence on sperm parameters.
Thirteen studies published between 2013 and 2022 were included in this meta-analysis. 2,315 patients enrolled. Longer abstinence associated with greater sperm concentration, sperm volume, and higher sperm DNA fragmentation (SDF), but lower progressive sperm motility.
Short ejaculatory abstinence is associated with better sperm quality with higher progressive sperm motility and lower SDF.
