Corrections Policy
Effective Date: April 20, 2026
Our Commitment
RRM Academy publishes clinical education material that readers may rely on when making health decisions. We take factual accuracy seriously. When we publish an error, we correct it promptly and transparently.
How We Handle Corrections
When an error is confirmed, we correct it and document the change on the affected page. The type of notification depends on the severity of the error:
- Typographical and formatting errors -- corrected silently. No on-page notice.
- Factual errors that do not change the meaning (for example, a misspelled author name, a wrong year) -- corrected with a dated "Updated" note at the foot of the article.
- Factual errors that materially change the meaning (for example, a misstated statistic, a reversed clinical recommendation, an incorrect citation) -- corrected with a visible Correction Notice at the top of the article, dated, explaining what changed and why. The original claim is identified. The corrected claim is cited.
- Errors severe enough to compromise the article's integrity -- the article is retracted. A retraction notice replaces the page and remains indefinitely. Links to the retracted article resolve to the retraction notice.
Citation and Source Errors
If a cited source is retracted, superseded, or shown to be unreliable, we update the affected article and disclose the change. For the RRM Research Library specifically, articles flagged as retracted in PubMed or CrossRef are marked as retracted in our database within seven days of discovery. The library's automated retraction scan runs weekly.
Reporting an Error
If you believe we have published an error, please tell us. Include the page URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and, if possible, a citation supporting the correction.
Email or contact form: rrmacademy.org/contact
We acknowledge correction requests within three business days and resolve verified errors within seven business days. Complex corrections requiring physician review may take longer; we will communicate status.
Version History
Significant content updates are tracked in the page's dateModified timestamp, visible on the page and emitted in structured data. This lets readers verify when a page last changed.
