Triple Defect
Triple defect is a semen analysis result in which sperm count, movement, and shape are all below the normal range in one sample. Each of the three measures falls short.
A triple defect points to something affecting sperm production as a whole. A varicocele, oxidative stress, infection, heat, a thyroid problem, or a hormone problem can each do it. Restorative care asks why all three measures are low and evaluates both partners.
One poor sample can mislead. A repeat semen analysis weeks later shows whether the pattern holds, and treating the cause can change the result.
