Abstract
The DIR Yearbook 1993, from the VIII. Meeting of German-speaking IVF groups, reports treatment results and statistics for IVF, GIFT, TET and ZIFT from 1982 to 1993. The overview counts 65 working groups, 59 register reports and 54 listed as analysable, with 31 computer analyses and 23 questionnaire analyses. The yearly series give 12,941 IVF follicle aspirations for 1993. Further tables cover indications, stimulation methods, anaesthesia, retrieval complications, luteal phase support, outcomes by maternal age, miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, multiple births and sperm preparation, with register and questionnaire data compared.
