Abstract
The HFEA National Patient Survey 2021 reports a survey of UK fertility patients conducted from 2 November to 7 December 2021, repeating the first HFEA national survey of fertility patients undertaken in 2018. The survey was open to anyone who had undergone fertility treatment in the UK in the past ten years, and 1,233 of the 1,868 responses received were included in the analysis. Topics include access to GP services, the most recent experience of treatment, multiple embryo transfers, egg and sperm donation, and treatment add-ons. Among its findings, 72% of patients were satisfied with their latest experience of fertility treatment, and 47% were satisfied with their experience of speaking to a GP before treatment.
