Abstract

This yearbook (Jahrbuch 2020) of the Deutsches IVF-Register (D·I·R) presents nationwide figures on reproductive medicine treatments in D·I·R centers and appears as a modified reprint in the Journal für Reproduktionsmedizin und Endokrinologie. The foreword states that the yearbook contains data on treatment cycles from 2019 (cycle outcomes and births) and 2020 (cycle outcomes) from 134 centers, and the summary section gives 111,752 plausible treatment cycles for 2020. The report presents pregnancy and birth rates per embryo transfer by the woman's age and reports cumulative pregnancy rates. New in this edition is a pro and contra section on single embryo transfer (SET) and double embryo transfer (DET), and the editorial focus topic is titled "Good Prognosis Patient".
