Deutsches IVF-Register Jahrbuch, 2020

Abstract

This yearbook (Jahrbuch 2019) of the Deutsches IVF-Register (D·I·R) presents nationwide figures on reproductive medicine treatments in D·I·R centers and appears as a modified reprint in the Journal für Reproduktionsmedizin und Endokrinologie. The summary section states that 131 of 137 member centers exported their 2018 and 2019 data by the cutoff date and that 110,786 treatment cycles were documented for 2019. The report gives pregnancy and birth rates per embryo transfer and states that 21,385 children were born from treatments in 2018. The yearbook also contains a section on Corona and its effects on reproductive medicine in Germany and a focus topic on how embryo assessment has changed over the years.
